After a long, long wait, things are starting to move at a supersonic pace now! How exciting to get Betty's e-mail this morning that we already received our Consulate Appointment (CA) confirmation! Wow! It took less than a day to get that! Now we're ready for our travel arrangements with Lotus Travel! (http://www.lotustours.net/) They work exclusively with adoption agencies and with adoptive parents. We're in good hands. They completely understand our needs. We leave in just 33 days!!! WOW!
One HUGE bummer is that we won't be able to use Michael's Frequent Flier miles to upgrade to business class. We are SO bummed about this!! Michael accumulated and saved miles for three years in anticipation of this trip. We thought it would be so nice to upgrade and be more comfortable on such a long flight. Apparently, because we will be getting a "special rate," we are not eligible for upgrading. The price for a standard coach ticket that can be upgraded is RIDICULOUS!!! This is so unfortunate! What the heck good are FF miles anymore?!
