Gong xi fa cai!! (And a prosperous New Year to us all!)
Yep - - it's the 1st day of the Spring festival in China. I was really hoping that we would have heard something from the CCAA via FTIA by last week, but...it appears that the paperwork didn't make it from the provincial level yet (bummer). So...now we'll wait some more. That's okay...my fingers are still tightly crossed (so much that they hurt!).
On another note, I phoned my sister today and she told me that her kids were off of school today for the CNY (surprising). I encouraged her to do something special with the kidlings to commemorate the day - - she told me they would have pot stickers for dinner. She also told me the funniest thing that our niece, Sela, said today. Apparently Sela approached her Mommy after breakfast today and announced that she decided she wanted to be a "Chinese Human." LOL!!! What?! That kid is too funny!
So...Happy Year of the Ox everyone! The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work.
