How exciting to receive our China Itinerary today!! Boy...are we booked! The most exciting news we learned is the day that we become a family! "Gotcha Day" will be Sunday, December 6th! That's when we will meet our little man, Jackson!
Although we leave on 12/2, we won't get to Beijing until 12/3. We have a couple of days to get acclimated to the time change and we'll get to tour and sightsee. That should be fun!On 12/6 we'll fly from Beijing to Xi'an where we might even have a chance to drop our luggage at the hotel!! We will be wisked away that afternoon to meet Jax (gosh...my heart beats faster just thinking about that!)!! I'm nervous! What will he think of his new Mama & Baba? Will he like us? Will he be afraid? Will he be excited?
The adoption will be complete the next day when we go back to the Civil Affairs Bureau! The next few days will be fun as we get to tour Xi'an and get to know our son. Of course, 12/8 is Jackson's birthday so we'll have to celebrate!!
On 12/11 we'll fly to Guangzhou to complete all of the official business like Jackson's medical exam, visa application, passport application, Consulate visit, etc.
On 12/18 we will have to brace ourselves for a VERY long day. We'll be in airports and flying for about a month (LOL!!! Okay, it'll only FEEL like a month)! It will be a true test, that's for sure. I'm already tired from reading the full itinerary!
Once our flight touches down on U.S. soil, Jackson becomes a U.S. Citizen!! Yeah!! Praying he likes his new home!
